This policy applies to all Aureon Financial employees, contractors, partners, affiliates, third parties and all activities to marketing and consumer interaction.
Includes definitions of Unfair, Deceptive and Abusive Acts or Practices as established by applicable provincial and federal regulations.
Aureon Financial strictly prohibits any unfair, deceptive or abusive acts or practices.
Management, Compliance Department and Employees/Sales Partners each have defined responsibilities to maintain UDAP compliance.
All marketing must comply with the Competition Act and provincial consumer protection rules which prohibit misrepresentation, unclear disclosures and unapproved materials. Requires accuracy and transparency.
Soft and hard pull disclosures per PIPEDA and provincial rules. No coercion and truthful communication.
Requires respectful behavior, accuracy, lawful collections as per provincial laws and clear communication.
All complaints must be logged, acknowledged, reviewed, escalated, resolved with proper documentation.
Annual training, onboarding training and documentation of compliance training
Aureon must monitor resort partners and vendors and enforce compliance requirements.
Compliance reviews, audits, call monitoring, reviews and periodic assessments.
Required retention of key documents for a minimum of 7 years.
Outlines disciplinary steps and remediation for consumer harm.
Annual review or updates following regulatory or operational changes.
All employees, contractors and partners must acknowledge reading and accepting this Canadian UDAP Compliance Policy.
